Use Carers and Companions for your Carer Training
Carers and Companions are enthusiastic in promoting care as a career and offer Carer Training courses to other companies and establishments. The courses have been developed for home care staff and residential care workers and can be delivered in the purpose built training rooms at the Ilkley office or at your own premises.
About the Carer Training Courses
Each course will typically last up to 3 hours and can be delivered at a time to suit your business hours.

- Handling accidents and Emergencies

- Mental health Awareness
- Palliative Care
- Understanding Multiple Sclerosis.

All courses are delivered by our Training Manager, David Edwards, who is a full member of the “Institute For Learning”. He has over 18 years experience working in residential and domiciliary care as a care worker, senior carer and registered manager. David’s professional qualifications include; B.A (Hons) in Education and Professional Development, Certificate in Education, QTLS, Level 5 Diploma in Leadership in Health and Social Care as well as a number of further qualifications related to the care industry.
If you have any particular training relevant to your company that needs to be delivered, for example; a new policy, procedure, systems of work that needs to be passed on to care staff, senior staff or Management team then we can help. We can work with you and create an individual session which will be specific to your company requirements..
